Lau, (808) 477-2572, ext 234 New Sources Sought: During the period 1 October 1994 through 31 December 1994, inclusive, the Defense Information Technology Contracting Office-Pacific (DITCO-PAC), Services and Equipment Division, contracted with lessors of communications services, generally common commercial carriers, to supply the leased communications required by the military services, other Department of Defense organizations and the FAA within the State of Hawaii and originating from the State of Hawaii to other Pacific areas. The communications leased by DITCO-PAC during the above time period included a wide spectrum of communications ranging from narrow band (voice grade) to wide band (1.544 megabits and higher) voice and data services. These leased services are generally point-to-point dedicated private line communications with two (2) service terminals located on military or other Government property. During the above period of time, DITCO-PAC issued a total of 54 orders to add new communications services. Life of each new service ranges from one to ten years. This contracting was accomplished pursuant to the requirements of the Competition in Contract Act (CICA) of 1984. A similar level of contracting is expected by DITCO-PAC during the second quarter of FY 95, Jan-Mar of 1995. DITCO-PAC desires to expand its current bidders list by adding contractors with the experience and resources necessary to compete for DITCO-PAC orders/contracts. If your company has the capability to furnish the point-to-point leased communications services within the State of Hawaii, please submit a letter requesting your company be added to the DITCO-PAC bidders list. Your request should include statistical data of your company to include financial and operational background information sufficient to show the existence of experience and resources commensurate with the level of technical complexity and monetary investment which should be anticipated in such undertakings. Also include a Standard Form 129, detailing specifically the types of services which your company can supply (ie. interbase on island or interisland private line services). A similar announcement will be published quarterly until further notice.
