The Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to modify contract N00174-92-D-0002 with AOT-Maryland, Inc. by increasing the total contract ceiling. Since the award date of 14 December 1991, AOT-Maryland had provided management support services on over 110 delivery orders. Competitive procurement is currently in process; however, award is not anticipated before June, 1995. The increase to AOT-Maryland's contract ceiling will ensure continuous support until the new award. As these services are critical to Indian Heads mission, and as AOT-Maryland already has the expertise, personnel and resources, in place, there is no other source that could provide immediate and uninterrupted support. This is an interim contract action to bridge the current support until the competitive follow-on is awarded.
