Bentley, Contracting Officer. The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command is investigating the feasibility of transferring to private enterprise ownership of the Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex (SRMSC) potable water distribution system located in northeast North Dakota. The private enterprise would operate and maintain the system to serve their customers. Government agencies occupying SRMSC properties (Cavalier Air Station and Missile Site Radar Installation) would purchase water from the private enterprise at a mutually agreed rate via an indefinite term contract. Any commercial water utility wishing to be involved in negotiations for transfer of this water system should advise the Deputy Commander, U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command, ATTN: CSSD-CM-TK, P.O. Box 1500, Huntsville, AL 35807-3801, no later than February 15,1995. Firms that recognize and can perform the effort described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer and provide capability statements as to their qualifications.
