(216) 433-8311. NASA Lewis Research Center seeks sources for a
multiyear program to develop enabling technologies in space electrical
power systems, hardware, components and software. The effort to be
performed is in support of anticipated space exploration and
utilization programs and to support the reconfiguration, upgrading and
maintenance of the Electrical Power System Test Facility at the NASA
Lewis Research Center. The work to be performed shall include, but is
not limited to, development of electrical power systems, hardware,
components and software to the brassboard, or prototype level. The
following classes of anticipated space flight programs are the
International Space Station and solar sourced electrical power
generation, including EPS controls strategies, simulations and
simulators, and their related software implementations to enhance
autonomous on-orbit operations with minimum energy and processing
resource utilization. Any interested source shall identify their status
as a small business or 8(a) firm or large business. Responses should be
received by February 6, 1995, at M.S. 500-312. Potential sources shall
provide information related to their overall scientific, technical,
and engineering capabilities and related experience which are pertinent
to the proposed program. Subsequent to receipt and evaluation of this
notice, NASA intends to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to
fulfill the requirements of this program. It is anticipated that the
RFP will be issued about early March with proposals due thirty days
later. Estimated period of performance is 60 months, base period of
twelve months with option periods for either four twelve month options
or two twenty-four month options. See Numbered Note(s): 25. (0019) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0010 19950120\A-0010.SOL)
