Zangwill, Contracting Officer, (301) 443-1301 The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is soliciting proposals from qualified small businesses to set up and manage a resource center that will focus on health services research related to drug abuse treatment and prevention. A multi- disciplinery capability is required to achieve the five tasks: (1) Identify, gain access to, and analyze data bases that are relevant for addressing important research and policy issues in drug abuse treatment and prevention services and systems; (2) Identify, compile, and review literatures in selected areas; (3) Develop manuscripts and other materials for presentations, including publishable articles, monographs, charts and graphs; (4) Convene meetings with subject matter experts to review the progress of the center and to address selected issues; (5) Orient NIDA staff on how to use the resources of the center. It is anticipated that a three-year incrementally funded contract will be awarded. The applicable SIC code is 8733 and the size standard is $5 million. This is a new procurement and there is no procurement history. Estimated issuance date of RFP No. N01DA-5-6050 is February 9, 1995, and responses are due to be received in the Contracting Officer 50 calendar days thereafter. Written requests for copies of solicitations will be honored if received within 35 calendar days after issuance of the solicitation. Requests received after this period will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. However, there is no assurance that copies requested after the 35th day will reach the requestor before the due date for receipt of responses.
