O'Sullivan, (215)897-5427 The FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to procure TUG RENTAL SERVICES for the Naval Submarine Base, New London, Groton, CT. This procurement shall be issued on an Unrestricted Basis. The contractor is to DOCK AND/OR UNDOCK SUBMARINES, BARGES AND SHIPS, UNDER POWER AND/OR DEAD STICK. The contract will consist of two (2) lots. Lot I requires a Twin Screw Tug with Continuous 1800 Horsepower and Intermittent (10 minutes) 2000 Horsepower Capability. The tug is required to be equipped with Underwater Rubber Fendering suitable for Mooring Rubber Hulled Submarines. The tug will periodically be Required to Transfer Personnel To and from Deployed Submarines. Lot II Requires a Twin or Single Screw Tug with Continuous 1800 Horsepower and Intermittent (10 minutes) 2000 Horsepower. The tug is Required to be Equipped with Underwater Rubber Fendering Suitable for Mooring Rubber Hulled Submarines. Lot II will not Require any Transfer of Personnel. Performance is to begin 01 May 95 for a five (5) month base period plus three (3) - twelve (12) month option periods. Placement of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Number is 4492.
