Z -- REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT INCLUDING ASBESTOS REMOVAL IN VARIOUS BUILDINGS AT THE PHILADELPHIA NAVAL COMPLEX SOL N62472-94-B-4714 DUE 022895 POC Contact Point, JACKIE HARVEY, (215)897-6238 The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, quality control, and supervision necessary to provide for the removal of asbestos nonasbestos insulation, cleanup, removal of dust containing asbestos from fixtures, mechanical, electrical, and structural members and replacement removed asbestos insulation with nonasbestos insulation as directed. The work will take place both indoors and outdoors in occupied and unoccupied areas, housing, and industrial buildings in both high and low situations. Removals and replacements will be required in both indoor and outdoor locations, tunnels, trenches, and overhead on scafolding up to 40 feet high. Attempts will be made to obtain a shoutdown on steam lines whenever possible. However, removals and replacements may be required on hot stam lines if a shoutdown cannot be obtained. This is a firm fixed price, indefinite quantity type contract. The proposed contract listed here is 100% Set Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business Conerns (Bid Date 28 February 1994).
