Description Number 68-3825-1. The U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command
(ATCOM) in St.Louis, MO anticipates buying up to 300 68 ft. and/or 89
ft. standard gauge interchange flat cars. The cars shall be AAR
clearance plates B & B-1 or C & C-1, have a minimum load carrying
capacity of 70 tons, have a built date of 1 June 1975 or later (if
rebuilt, cars shall have at least 25 years of interchange life
remaining as measured by AAR standards), and be fully interchangeable.
The government will accept delivery of a total of 24 flat cars per
month, to be delivered to three separate destinations (8 cars to each
destination). The three delivery points are Angleton Railcar, Inc. in
Angleton,TX; General Railway Services, Inc. in Suffolk,Va; and Tank Car
Corporation of America in Oreland, PA. All responsible sources may
