This announcement replaces the previous CBD announcement of the same solicitation number in its entirety. The Navy's Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Washington, D.C. intends to negotiate a sole source contract with RACAL-DATACOM, 1821 Michael Faraday Dr., Suite 301, Reston, VA 22090. This contract will provide for the procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of (as well as training on) an upgrade to a communications switch platform located in the Navy Pentagon Computer Services (NAVPECOS) area of Pentagon Room 4C400. This procurement is for the ADP Resources Division, Assistant for Administration, Under Secretary of the Navy. This procurement includes: (1) purchase of the parts necessary to interface the existing communication switch platform (which includes RACAL Series 300 Nodal Processors, RACAL Series 120 feeder multiplexors, RACAL Series 300 ST trunks, a Omnimux 8000 T-1 multiplexor and a DAC207 communications interface) with the existing Novell IPX LAN and the existing Digital VAX cluster; (2) installation and configuration of the upgrade within the present communications switch platform; (3) 15 (fifteen) days of training for approximately 3 (three) people; and (4) maintenance of the parts purchased through paragraph (1) above for the remainder of Fiscal Year 1995. This will be a sole source procurement with RACAL-DATACOM, Inc., the present successor firm to DCA (the Original Equipment Manufacturer). The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Supply contract with services. Delivery will be 30 (thirty) days after award. A single award will be made for all items.
