SOL DACW67-95-R-0025 DUE 021495 POC Contact, Rose Porcincula, (206) 764-3653 The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a contract for Purchase and Lease of miniature radio tags, radio receivers, and design and construction of an underwater radio antenna system with LOTEK Engineering, Incorporated. The equipment will be used for marking and tracking steelhead, coho and chinook salmon smolts during an interagency Smolt Reservoir Migration Delay Study at Tacoma, Washington. 1. Equipment Items to be purchased consist of the following: A) 92 each, FSM-2 Aguatic Transmitters, 19mm in length and 12mm in circumference and 1100mg when weighed in water with an expected life of 35 days (40 beeps per minute). Transmitters will be implanted in steelhead smolts (150-180 mm); B)2 each, W18AS Antenna Switching Firmware; C) 2 each, ASP 8 Antenna Switch Box; D) 2 each, EE10 Environmental Enclosure; E) 2 each, Tripod Model TR10; F) 2 each, Solar Panel, Gel Battery, Regulator; G) 2 each, 9-element Yagi Antenna; and H)1 each, Design and Construct underwater antenna array using low less coax cable and line amplifiers that will be connected to the radio receiver system. 2. Equipment Items to be leased consist of the following: A) 2 each, SRX_400, Configuration #3 Radio Telemetry Receiver with W18 Automatic Datalogging Firmware, 512 K memory, 148-152 MHz bandwidth; B) 2 each, W18AS Antenna Switching Firmware; and C) 2 each, ASP 8 Antenna Switch Box.
