YAG Pump Laser -- 1 (ea.), Model LPY-150. The laser shall operate and mount inside an existing Lambda Physik Scanmate Dye Laser, dimensions of dye laser are 12'' X 14'' X 42''. The laser shall be 100% compatible with existing Lambda Physik Dye Laser with regards to electronic and computer interface. The output energy shall not be less than 65 mJ at 355 nm and 40 mJ at 266 nm at 10Hz with pulse duration not to exceed 5 nsec (FWHM) at 355 nm. The laser shall be controlled remotely and shall have cooling unit built into power supply. Laser shall be installed and tested at Government installation by the contractor. The contractor shall provide a one (1) year warranty on parts, time commencing after installation. -- Delivery is 90 days -- FOB Destination. It is the intent of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
