A -- MODIFICATION OF NUWCDIVNPT BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT 94- 01A SOL BAA 94-01A DUE 022495 POC Contact Walter Oliver, Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X281 Modification of NUWCDIVNPT Broad Agency Announcement 94-01A which was published on Thursday, June 16, 1994. The purpose of this modification is to amplify and clarify the statement ''State-of- the-art computing, signal processing and network technologies'' as listed in the Submarine and Surface Ship Sonar section of the BAA as originally published. That section is hereby modified to add the following to the technical areas listed: High performance computing platforms for solutions to (1) sensor optimization for sensor and image interpretation and recognition and (2) data fusion/tracking for accurate correlation of data in a real time operating system environment. Traditional, sequential, processing has limited the amount of information that can be assimilated in real time therefore NUWC is looking for new, innovative technical solutions in these areas. High performance computing platforms must be scalable to permit growth in processing capability, support an MIMD architecture for optimum flexibility in problem solution and must have a high speed interconnect between separate processing elements to allow for a global sharing of information.
