Whisner, (407)380-8137 The U.S. Army Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) requires the research and development, production, and follow-on support of hardware and software for reconfigurable simulators to be located at U.S. Army Battle Labs. The BLRSI effort will be comprised of a wide range of simulator functionality to include: ground vehicles, rotary wing aircraft, C41 simulators, dismounted soldiers, combat service support, and early entry simulators. BLRSI simulators are envisioned to have modular and rapidly reconfigurable hardware and software and provide selective fidelity, rapid insertion of new technologies, and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) compatibility. It is anticipated that an RFP will be issued o/a 10 Mar 95. Proposals will be due 45 days after RFP release. The SIC for this acquisition is 3699.
