Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) requires
the research and development, production, and follow-on support of
hardware and software for reconfigurable simulators to be located at
U.S. Army Battle Labs. The BLRSI effort will be comprised of a wide
range of simulator functionality to include: ground vehicles, rotary
wing aircraft, C41 simulators, dismounted soldiers, combat service
support, and early entry simulators. BLRSI simulators are envisioned to
have modular and rapidly reconfigurable hardware and software and
provide selective fidelity, rapid insertion of new technologies, and
Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) compatibility. It is
anticipated that an RFP will be issued o/a 10 Mar 95. Proposals will be
due 45 days after RFP release. The SIC for this acquisition is 3699.
This procurement will be based on full and open competition. Interested
offerors are requested to respond in writing within 15 days after
publication of this notice. Requests should be submitted to Mr. Kim
Denver/Code 273 at the aforementioned address. As part of an intensive
effort to keep industry informed of business opportunities, assist the
Government in identifying and implementing innovation acquisition
