The project title is changed to Design/Build Underground Storage Tanks Removal and Replacement, Kirtland AFB, NM. The following additional information is provided on this project: The project requires a complete design and construction for the removal of 98 existing underground storage tanks with all necessary piping and the installation of 25 storage tanks (17 - vaulted underground tanks and 8 above ground) on Kirtland AFB, NM, located in Albuquerque, NM. The new tanks shall be comprised of various sizes from as small as 500 gallons to as large as 33,000 gallons. The new tanks will be used to store heating oil, diesel fuel, gasoline, spent JP-4 fuel and waste oil and gasoline. The new underground tanks will be installed within a vault while the above ground tanks will be installed with a berm to contain liquid spills. Pre manufactured underground vaults will be acceptable providing they meet the criteria stated within the RFP. Utilities that may be needed to support the new tanks or might need to be relocated will include water, electrical, gas, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. Project does not include asbestos removal. Project will require the contractor to coordinate and manage the removal of several tanks at different sites on Kirtland AFB, NM, at simulataneous times and with multiple using agencies. stated within the RFP.(0020)
