Bid opening date of 23 March 1995 is only an estimated date. In general, the work will consist of removing the insulation from two hot water generators and adjacent piping in the mechanical rooms of both buildings then re-insulating, removing the abandoned steam and condensate piping and associated insulation located in the pipe tunnel under both buildings, removing the insulation from the in-service steam, condensate, and hot water piping located in the pipe tunnel under both buildings then re-insulate. All materials removed shall be considered asbestos containing material. Buildings 3054 and 3055 are located on Duke Field, Eglin AFB, FL. Estimated range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 100 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency..
