Courthouse, Memphis, TN - Work consist of Renovation of approximately 22,000 square feet of existing space to be used for District and Magistrate Court operations. Spaces to be constructed include two courtrooms; two resident and one visiting judge's chamber suites; secure holding facilities; and ancillary spaces for the two courtrooms. Renovation also includes the public restroomns and corridors on the floor. Demolition of wallboard and metal partitions; suspended ceiling; flooring; lighting and electrical wiring; and sprinkler system. Hazardous material abatement of asbestos tile and friable material on ducts and pipes. Work also includes construction of new spaces include new ceiling system; wallboard and masonry partitions; lighting; electrical; and sprinkler systems; reconfiguration of existing HVAC with new equipment. Finishes include marble, vinyl tile and carpeting; painted and wood panelled walls. Woodworking includes built-in courtroom furniture, cabinets and bookshelving in offices.
