Defense Supply Service-Washington on behalf of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs), Defense Medical Systems Support Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract extension to an existing contract #MDA903-90-D-0011 with GTE Government Systems Chantilly, VA to continue to provide telecommunication circuit maintenance, Hardware, Software and Support Services in support of the Defense Medical Program Activity Telecommunication Network (DMPA*NET), pending transition of these circuits to DISN. GTE has engineered, installed and maintained these network circuits to meet the specialized needs of the Defense Medical community. It is the Governments present intention to negotiate a 6 month contract with two option periods of 3 months each, total duraction of 12 months.
