66 -- THERMOGRAVIMETRIC ANALYZER/MASS SPECTROMETER SOL RFP5-02726/074 POC KAPRICE L. LYNCH, Contract Specialist (301) 286-3049/PATRICK D. LOGAN, Contracting Officer. This requirement is for a commercially available thermogravimetric Analyzer/Mass spectrometer TGA/MS Thermolab system or equal, designed to easily interface with Goddard's existing systems, which include the 951 TGA, 2960 TGA and 2950 TGA. The system to be procured shall consist of a new thermal controller for the TGA instrument, a quadrupole mass spectrometer, a mass spectrometer controller, and a TGA interface line to connect to the mass spectrometer. The interface must allow for rapid transfer of gaseous materials from the TGA to the mass spectrometer in a transfer time not to exceed 100 milliseconds. The interface must also be able to withstand degradation by gaseous products and be able to be heated to a minimum of 170 degrees Celsius. The mass spectrometer must have a minimum range of 1 - 300 amu. Additonal specifications will be included in the request for offer (RFO). The offer due date will be established when the RFO is released. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA/GSFC Midrange Pilot Test Program, and is for small business participants only.
