A -- ROTORCRAFT HANDLING QUALITIES AND SIMULATION RESEARCH SOL RFP2-36504(LMK) DUE 032795 POC Contact Point, Lynn Kichline, 415/604-3010, Contracting Officer, D.L. Semelmaker, 415/604-3010 This effort is to develop handling qualities design criteria and simulation validation techniques, and to perform handling qualities experiments. It may involve ground-based and in-flight simulation at NASA-Ames Research Center and cooperative in-flight handling qualities simulations with the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada located in Ottawa or the German Aerospace Labor atories (DLR) located in Braunschweig. A five-year period of performance is anticipated utilizing a Time and Materials type of contract. This procurement will be a small business set-aside. It will contain an Organizational Conflict of Interest clause excluding major rotary wing aircraft manufacturers as the nature of this research will require an independent third party analysis of engineering concepts, designs, and tests. Requests for copies of RFP2-36504(LMK) must be submitted in writing. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. See Note 1. (0023)
