officer for this project is Ronald Miller. The general instruction
facility is a 35,000 SF three story facility designed to house teaching
functions for the Defense Language Institute. The building structure
will be a two way moment resisting frame. Steel and concrete balconies
project from the building walls. The building skin is an exterior
insulation finish system (EIFS) with extensive detailing. The roof will
be clay ''S'' tile over steel deck and rigid insulation. An existing
parking lot will be removed and the site heavily excavated. The site
will be fully landscaped with concrete retaining walls and hardscaping.
Site lighting and concrete benches will be provided. All site concrete
will be integrally colored. Plants will be irrigated with an automatic
irrigation system. The remainder of the site will be developed at a
future date. Responders are advised that this project may be delayed,
cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection,
evaluation, negotiation and/or final award process. Large businesses
competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause
regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the
work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for
subcontracting are 60.3% for small business, 9.8% for small
disadvantaged business, and 2.9% for small business/woman-owned. A firm
that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to

between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Plans and specifications available

only); $34.00 for half-size drawings and $74.00 for full-size drawings.
