ASU-310, (202) 267-7542 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has
a requirement for Portable ILS (Instrument Landing System) Receivers
(PIR) used in routine maintenance ofILS's. It is the intent of the FAA
to purchase commercial units rather than to have a PIR designed and
built to FAA specifications. The contract will be awarded to the
offeror with the PIR which provides the best value to the FAA. Offerors
are required to submit two samples of the PIR which they intend to
provide under this solicitation. A team of FAA engineers and
technicians will verify that minimum requirements are met by the units
submitted. The offerors will be invited, during the evaluation to
witness tests on their individual units and demonstrate or explain
features or operating procedures which may not be obvious. A firm fixed
price contract with a base year and four option years is contemplated.
A minimum of 200 each will be purchased, the maximum quantity is 1000
each. Delivery schedule is 25 each per month beginning 60 days after
contract award. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Oklahoma City,OK.
