DESCRIPTION e.g. The USPS is pursuing the standardization of 010 Loose Mail Systems nationwide. This system consists of a series of belt conveyors, associated equipment and controls for the purpose of; culling and transporting collection mail from automated Dual Pass Rough Cullers (DPRCs) or manual feed operations, to surge conveyors for storage, or feeding conveyors for multi Advanced Facer Cancelers Systems (AFCSs), with additional conveyors for transporting flats mail, metered bundles or small parcels and rolls (SPRs) removed during the initial culling process, to their respective processing areas. This procurement is to engineer, fabricate, install, integrate and test these systems on a site by site basis. Only companies with prior USPS related experience are invited to participate. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about January 30, 1995 with a Pre-Proposal Conference two weeks thereafter and submission of offers March 17, 1995.
