This is a market survey to locate additional sources for an GUNN Effect Oscillator NSN: 5915-01-359-3363 for the AN/TSC-94A/100A Satellite Communication Terminals. The only approved source for this item is Alpha Industries, formerly Central Microwave. The GUNN Effect Oscillator is controlled by a Source Control drawing. Therefore, prequalification and system interchangeability are required before an award can be considered. If any additional source can furnish this oscillator they must so indicate by writing to Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-ED-RS-3(BIF), Fort Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5023. The response MUST include documentation detailing how the acceptance testing of this item will be accomplished, the test results, copy of a purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to a current source or a statement from the current source demonstrating that the supplier can infact supply the item. This oscillator must be form, fit and functionally interchangeable at the repair level with the items that the current source supplies for this NSN. The successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
