982-5094. The U.S. Navy desires to enter into an agreement with private
industry for up to 30 years for the development of geothermal resources
located beneath Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada. The site is located
approximately 60 miles east of Reno and three miles south of the town
of Fallon. A 7,000 ft. deep discovery well was drilled there in August
of 1993 and was successfully flow-tested. The maximum temperature that
was recorded was 376 degrees F. The developer will be responsible for
all phases of erecting and operating a geothermal electrical power
plant on Navy land, including finance, exploration, design,
construction, operation, maintenance, and sale of electrical power. The
Navy does not intend to purchase electrical power from the power plant.
Compensation to the Navy, as well as the terms and conditions of the
agreement, are subject to negotiation. The selection process and
resulting agreement will be in accordance with sound business
practices. A Pre-Qualification Conference will be held at the Flamingo
Hilton, Town Hall 1, 255 N. Sierra Street in Reno, Nevada, on February
22, 1995 to discuss the project and answer questions. Anyone interested
in the project is urged to attend the conference. A pre-qualification
packet will be distributed to all participants at the conference. Only
those meeting the criteria set forth in the pre-qualification packet
regarding technical and financial capability and track record will be
invited to submit proposals. If you wish to attend the conference,

attend the conference, you may request, in writing that a copy of the
Pre-Qualification Packet be sent to your firm. Requests should be sent

Port Hueneme, CA 93043-4301. The Navy intends to enter into an
agreement with the offeror whose proposal presents the greatest
probability of success while providing reasonable compensation to the
