The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipments necessary to repair the electrical distribution system for Building 227 (Hangar 5) at Tyndall AFB, FL. Work includes replacement of the service transformer(s), main switchgear, distribution switchboards, conducting, and miscellaneous equipment (lighting, morors, etc), associated with conversion from 416Y/240 Volt to 480Y/227 Volt service. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This acquisition is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify this office of their intent to bid on this project as a prime contractor as soon as possible, but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. The notification must include (a) a positive statement of eligibility as a SDB concern; (b) evidence of capacity to obtain the required bonds; (c) past performance data on projects that demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Information on your financial status, i.e., letter from bank, should also be submitted. If adequate interest is not received from at least two SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued without further notice, on an unrestricted basis. Therefore, responses are requested from all interested business concerns as well as SDB concerns.
