918/669-7275. This project consists of reconfiguring the existing
KC-135 Apron to provide parking and fueling for 18 aircraft. It
requires the construction of a new type three fueling system under the
existing Apron to provide fuel pits at each new aircraft location,
replacement of the apron pavement (21'' concrete) as well as
construction of new apron pavement . The fueling system also includes
constructing a new fuel farm facility consisting of two (2) 10,000 BBL
above ground tanks, pumphouse, truck loading / unloading facility with
canopy, emergency generator, oil / water separator, asphalt and
concrete pavement, and containment dikes; as well as the piping system
from the fuel farm to the apron. All underground pressurized fuel
piping will be of single wall configuration, internally epoxy coated
carbon steel and externally coated and cathodically protected. This
project also includes the demolition of the existing fuel yard
consisting of a pumphouse and seven underground storage tanks. This
project will also relocate the aircraft blast deflectors and the apron.
Estimated cost range of this project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
