66 -- PRIME VENDOR REQUIREMENT FOR LABORATORY SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT SOL DADA15-95-R-0035 DUE 050195 POC Contract Specialist, Ricki Taylor, (202)782-1284, Contracting Officer, Edward Bierma Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to solicit offers for a prime vendor contractor who will be responsible for providing laboratory/medical research supplies and equipment required by offices of both the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology located in the Washington metropolitan area. The pricing of supplies/equipment on the contract will be negotiated between the Government and manufacturers/suppliers of laboratory/medical research items using a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA). Potential offerors will submit an offer for the distribution fee for distributing the items. All ordering, order confirmation, invoicing, and payment will be accomplished by means of electronic data interface between the prime vendor and the Government. This requirement is specific for delivery only; management of the supplies/equipment will remain with the Government. This contract will not conflict and should not be confused with the Federal Supply Schedules or VA Schedule contracts, as the required delivery for routine items on this contract will be within 72 hours of ordering; for emergency items within 24 hours. As a result of this solicitation, the Government anticipates awarding a fixed price indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contract for a base year plus four one-year options.
