CLUTZ, (301) 619-2395 The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Bruker Instruments, Billerica, Massachusetts for an EMX Series Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectrometer system with components. Justification-10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) authorizes contracting without providing for full and open competition when unique supplies or services are available from only one source or one supplier with unique capabilities. Bruker Instruments has been identified as the only source available for a spectrometer system that has an automated tuning and matching system with motorized iris. Proposed acquisition to include: ESR spectrometer, EMX, EPR, with data acquisition system and components, Cat. #F6130702, one (1) each; Traverse Magnetic (TM) cylindrical cavity, Model ER 4103TM, Cat #A475-7210, one (1) each; liquid nitrogen variable temperature system 10 litre glass Dewar quartz transfer line, Model ER4121UT, Cat #F6103094, one (1) each; and TM cavity aqueous solution/tissue accessory set dewars, holders, cells for RT and UT, Cat#A61X7916.
