66 -- PLANT GROWTH CHAMBER SOL Solicitation No. 14-3K06-95 DUE 022895 POC Contact Teri Taylor, Contract Specialist or Brenda Wood, Contracting Officer on 301-344-3125 The USDA, ARS, U.S. Salinity Laboratory in Riverside, CA intends to purchase a sunlight plant growth chamber, for the purpose of growing plants under uniform aerial environments exposed to natural solar radiation levels to automatically measure plant canopy gas exchange rates, and transient fluxes in light, temperature, and humanity. Chambers shall be designed for use in a research environment in which CO2 will be controlled and monitored within designated specifications during plant growth cycles of 90-120 duration. Proposals will be solicited for a single prototype to be constructed within 6 months from contract award with an option to purchase up to 11 additional chambers in the following 6-month after prototype acceptance by the Government.
