The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for a Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). The DSC must be capable of performing an isothermal crystallization experiment, and of rapidly cooling (500xC/min.) from above the melting temperature to an isothermal temperature. The crystallization of a given substance must be measurable as a function of time at the isothermal temperature. It is anticipated that a wide variety of samples including lipids, proteins, and cells will be analyzed with this instrument. Telephone requests for this solicitation will not be honored.
