Milton, (618) 452-4348 It is the Government's's intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Amdahl Corporation, Chevy Chase Pavilion, 5335 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20015, for the acquisition of services to provide maintenance support of the UTS/UNIX/O/S software. A firm fixed price type contract covering one year with one option year is anticipated. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers/proposals received in response to this notice, since synopsis of intent is to negotiate with only one source, Amdahl, in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2303(c)(1) for the above maintenance of software which is proprietary to Amdahl. Amdahl holds exclusive rights to the product and it is available through Amdahl exclusively. Any offeror who responds to this announcement shall submit pricing with their response within 15 days of this notice first appearing in the CBD. A second CBD notice is not anticipated. Pricing shall include services reflected above. All responses shall include literature substantiating the prospective contractor's ability to meet the requirement.
