This amended synopsis supplements the synopsis published in the CBD on January 19, 1995. The purpose of this amended synopsis is to clarify the period of performance. The period of performance is anticipated to be five years, but will consist of a basic contract period of one year and up to four consecutive one-year options. The contract is for continuing research and experimentation in the precision gear manufacturing process. As stated in the original synopsis, proposals will be considered only from educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations to encourage technology transfer and industry participation.
