Akers,816/ 926-5316 Request for Proposal for Heating Modifications, Federal Building, 302 Joplin Street, Joplin, Missouri. Job PCN: IMO42210. RFP o/a 02/14/95. Estimated Cost Range: $500,000 - $1,000,000. Time for completion: 150 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Project involves: the work includes the total removal of the existing steam heating system and replacement with new hot water heating system and installation of a new direct digital temperature control system. Removal of two underground storage tanks and asbestos abatement will also be involved. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos abatement and/or fuel oil tank removal shall meet the competency qualification requirements as specified in Section 00120 of the specification, and provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with the hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks. Option No. 1: Full maintenance service of the Energy Management and Control System for the one year guarantee period. Option No. 2: Full maintenance service of the Energy Management and Control System for the subsequent three-year period. Option No. 3: Full maintenance service of the Energy Management andControl System for the subsequent three-year period. Option No. 4: Fu ll maintenance service of the Energy Management and Control System for the subsequent three-year period. NOTE: The firm that performs the option work will be required to enter into a Service Maintenance contract with the Government that has thepotential length of nine years. See Note 1. (0025)
