limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment
necessary for construction of the Bassett Creek Stage 2C3, Highway 100
Embankment in Crystal and Golden Valley, Minnesota. Construction
consists of clearing, grubbing and snagging, excavation of the existing
Bassett Creek Park Pond (wetland, wet) and new detention pond (wetland,
dry), installation, including pertinent inlet and outlet structures, of
reinforced concrete pipes under 29th Avenue North (2 locations) and
Highway 100, construction adjacent to the existing Highway 100
embankment of an extension to the existing cast-in-place reinforced
concrete double-barrel box culvert and new inlet control structure
landscaping. Miscellaneous incidental related work in strict accordance
with the plans and specifications is required. This procurement is
issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656). SIC Code is 1629: Small
Business Size Standard is $17 million. The Corps of Engineers is
committed to substantive participation of small disadvantaged (SDB) and
women- owned enterprises in the performance of the work for this
contract. If you are a large business and your bid will exceed
$1,000,000 you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. For
this contract, the following goals expressed in terms of percentages of
total planned subcontracting dollars will be established: Small
Business - 60.3%, Small Disadvantaged Business - 9.8%, Women-Owned
Small Business - 2.9%, and Subcontract Reporting (SF 294 and SF 295) -
100%. Estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical
characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 and
$1,000,000. This procurement is pursuant to a local cooperation
agreement (LCA) between the U.S. Government and the City of
Minneapolis, MN. Plans and specifications are expected to be available
approximately February 13, 1995, with a bid opening on or about March
16, 1995. Plans and specifications will be furnished upon written
request only, with a payment of non-refundable charge of: half-size
drawings and one copy of specification, $17.00; full-size drawings with
one copy of specification, $47.00; or a copy of specification only,
