Project involves: Demolish existing structures and construct a new motor pool garage and adjacent office space. Repair of building leaks includes excavation of earth fill, installation of waterproof membranes and metal flashings, site grading, and replacement of existing concrete slabs. Asbestos and lead paint abatement are required. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos or other hazardous material work shall satisfy special responsibility and shall provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks. See Note 1. (0026)
