The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a modification to modify existing contract N00024-88-C-5673 with Sperry Marine, 1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22905. A modication will be issued for procurement of seven (7) each AN/BPS-16(V) Mast Assemblies which include radar mast, radar antenna and antenna control unit in lieu of seven (7) AN/BPS-16(V) currently required by the contract. The modification will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Sperry Marine is the designer and developer of the AN/BPS-16(V) Radar System. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, expertise, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
