58 -- MARKET SURVEY FOR INTERFERENCE INDICATOR APPLIQUE SOL DAAB07- POC ROBERT LOCHER - TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST. PM JTACS is interested in information on the availability of a low cost commercial off-the-shelf Interference Indicator Applique for use with Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) AN/GRC-226 UHF (225-400 MHz and 1350-1850 MHz) radio used at Corps and below, the AN/GRC-103 UHF (1350-1850 MHz) radio used at Echecons Above Corps (EAC) and the MSE RT-1539 VHF (30-88 MHz) radio. This Interference Indicator is to be capable of providing radio operators with an indication of the presence of interference signals. The device should function at either RF or IF and use the existing antenna with the loss of distortion of the receive signal path, if any, being minimal. The Interference Indicator should be programmable with a keyboard to set thresholds such as background noise, signal thresholds, band coverage, etc. The device should provide visual indication of selected interferring signal power levels and frequencies of detection. Sources responding to this inquiry must be capable of supplying an existing commercial device which meets, or can be adapted to meet the requirements set forth in this market survey. Successful suppliers may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
