The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for special purpose signal processor hardware in basic model configurations for the purpose of improving Navy electronic warfare effectiveness. The hardware is comprised of a single common set of custom designed and fabricated printed circuit cards and specific commercial computer modules. Additional mixes of component items are defined separately, to serve as replacements or spares. The hardware is to be fabricated and/or purchased according to pre-existing proven designs and/or specifications to be provided with the solicitation. The basic processor concept is that of a set of printed circuit cards and selected computer modules inside a 6U form factor VME card cage. These common card sets are packaged in one of three currently defined configurations, depending on the size and weight limitations, spare card, slot requirements, and operational environmental requirements. Government furnished documentation, such as, circuit schematics, parts lists, printed circuit board design data, on board logic descriptions, special procedures, commercial parts, packaging data, and test plans will be provided at contract award. Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Quantity type contract, with a 5 year period of performance. All ordered items are to be delivered within 6 months from date of award of order.
