The Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA, intends to issue a contract to Firearms Training Systems (FATS) for the upgrade/modification of 72 each Shoot/Don't Shoot Stress Training Devices for the Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command, Orlando, FL. This modification will incorporate the MK-19 Grenade Machine Gun gunnery training capability in existing devices. All responsible sources may respond to the synopsis and all such responses will be fully considered by this agency. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice, because the synopsis of intent to place a contract shall not be considered as a solicitation. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Written responses must provide information that substantiates the contractor's ability to perform, in include, personnel qualifications, availability of parts and capabilities. If no responses are received within 15 days of this announcement which meet the Government's requirements, a contract will be placed with FATS without further notice. (0027)
