Contact:NANCY ROBB, Tel:713-244-9923 Contracting Officer: ALICE PURSELL, Tel:713-244-9921 The contractor shall completely strip NASA T-38 aircraft in accordance with United States Air Force technical orders 1-T-38A-23, 1-1-691, and 1-1-8 by means of chemical or plastic media blast stripping, including wheel wells and landing gear, apply chemical conversion coating (pre- prime), prime, and paint. The contractor must have access to the follow- ing USAF technical orders: 1-1-8; 1-1-691; 1T-38A-2-1; 1T-38A-2-2; 1T-38A-2-2CL-1; 1T-38A-2-2CL-4; 1T-38A-2-5; 1T-38A-2-5CL-1; 1T-38A-2-6; 1T-38A-2-8; 1T-38A-3; and 1T-38A-23. The following is a list of minimum support equipment that the contractor must possess to comply with this effort: T-38 tow bar; external AC power, 115 volt, 3 phase, 400 cycle; hydraulic servicing mule with MIL-H-5606 hydraulic fluid; three 5-ton or three 10-ton jacks and jack pade; air start capability (minimum 45 psi); purge and lox kit; and liquid oxygen servicing equipment/capability. Note: Minimum runway requirement is 7,000 feet to accomodate the T-38 aircraft. In accordance with FAR 22.1003-5(k), a wage determination is is required. The period of performance will be for a basic one-year contract beginning approximately June 1, 1995; and will also include two separate one-year options.
