Mitchell at (612) 290-5763 Work consists of, but is not limited to,
furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to
complete electrical and structural rehabilitation constructions on Dam
8 at Genoa, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River. Project structural
rehabilitation includes new fiber reinforced concrete work,
waterproofing of concrete work, replacement of tainter gate and storage
yard bridge bearing seats, concrete repair with polyurethane resin,
replacement of a portion of the storage yard concrete slab on grade,
and installation of limit switch access platforms. Project electrical
rehabilitation includes renovation of the existing dam electrical power
distribution system, lighting, receptacles, and other utilization
equipment. Miscellaneous incidental related work in strict accordance
with the plans and specifications is required. This procurement is
issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656). SIC Code is 1629; Small
Business Size Standard is $17 million. The Corps of Engineers is
committed to substantive participation of small disadvantaged (SBD) and
women-owned enterprises in the performance of the work for this
contract. If you are a large business and your bid will exceed
$1,000,000 you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. For
this contract, the following goals expressed in terms of percentages of
total planned subcontracting dollars will be established: Small
Business - 60.3%, Small Disadvantaged Business - 9.8%, Women-Owned
Small Business - 2.9%, and Subcontract Reporting (SF294 and SF 295) -
100%. Estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical
characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and
$5,000,000. Plans and specifications are expected to be available
approximately February 23, 1995, with bid opening on or about March 28,
1995. Plans and specifications will be furnished upon written request
only, with a payment of non-refundable charge of: half-size drawings
with one copy of specification, $25.00; full-size drawings with one
copy of specification, $117.00; or a copy of specification only,
