13 -- EXPLOSIVES SOL RFP 2047. Contact Point, Warren Saul, Contracting Officer, 415/329-4168. The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for explosives, boosters, and detonating cord. These materials are to be utilized as a source of seismic energy with which to conduct a seismic reflection/refraction study in the State of Washington. This project requires approximately 38,000 pounds of high pressure explosives (blasting agent). The explosive shall be in a jelly-like consistency (repump material) which will be pumped into a borehole from a pump truck through a 200-foot x 1 1/2-inch ID hose. Also required are: electric caps, boosters, detonating cord and temporary use of a storage tanker for the repump material. Delivery location is near Chehalis, Washington in August, 1995. All responsible sources shall be considered by the agency. Government may require preaward product sample testing or postaward first article test. (025)
