36 -- SHOT BLAST MACHINE SOL DAAA08-95-Q-0049 POC Contact Diane Waldo, (309) 782-8667, Contract Specialist The Rock Island Arsenal is seeking possible sources of supply, standard catalog information/brochures, and COST estimates for the possible acquisition of one (1) each shot blast machine meeting the the following requirements: A. The blast machine cabinet inside measurements shall be NO less than 15 feet Long X 10 feet wide X 10 feet high. The blast chamber Walls and ceiling shall be provided with 1/2 inch thick, as A minimum, replaceable, ASTM-A-514, ''T-1'' steel liner plates. In order to eliminate the need for foundation work, the machine may be erected on A steel framework above floor level. B. Equipped with A powered, rail mounted CAR measuring NO less than 14 feet Long X 48 inches wide. C. Equipped with A Man door in addition to the doors required for the CAR. D. Equipped with apressure blast, hand Held, blast nozzle, with sufficient hose to clean from both sides and ends of the rail mounted CAR. E. Equipped with acompletely functional operator helmet system and breathing air supply. F. Capable of using glass beads of various sizes. G. Equipped with an abrasive recovery system. H. Equipped with an abrasive cleaning system. Costs estimates are for budgetary purposes only. Please NOTE: There is NO firm requirement for these supplies and funds are not available. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with NO COST or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The Government will in NO way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the supplies described above. Any of the information stated above concerning the supplies is subject to change.
