For information on this procurement, call Linda passeri (810) 574-8049 The primary focus of the Abrams system enhancement pack age (Sep) is to enhance the M1A2 Abrams tank core Electronics so the tank will have the capability to grow to meet future requirements. The contractor will be requir Ed to design, develop, test, and validate an M1A2 Sep. Development of the M1A2 Sep will result in improvements in the areas of command and control at the brigade and below level, soldier-machine interface, unit production COST reduction, and improved or enhanced Electronics technology. The improvements will update the M1A2 Abrams tanks with the latest technology. The tank configuration changes will improve performance and fightability, sustainability, mobility, lethality, and survivability. The Sep effort is intended to be exportable to other abr AMS platforms to the maximum extent practicable, meet interoperability requirements, maximize commonality, and maximize Commercial-off-the-shelf items. This acquisiti on will be awarded on A sole source basis to General Dynamics Land systems, Inc.. A COST-plus-incentive-Fee Co ntract is contemplated. See NOTE: 22.
