725-5314. Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and
operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at the
Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking
industrial partner(s) to participate in the development and
commercialization of its fiber-optic chemical measurement technologies.
WSRC's capabilities include systems for remote measurement using
fiber-optic spectrometers, optical multiplexers, multivariate
calibration software, and patented process interfaces. Prospective
partners must be regular manufactuers of spectorscopic instruments,
meet U. S. Competitveness requirements, offer an established sales and
service system, and have a substantial market share in one or more
market sectors. In addition, the selected partners will have an
arrangement and willingness to share royalties on jointly-developed,
partner-funded advancements. Any company interested in pursuing this
opportunity should submit an expression of interest and a one-page
synopsis of its ability to meet the announcement criteria no later than
