A -- ALIGNMENT HARDWARE, 10 AXIS POSITIONER Contact, F. Lujan III, 505/844-5919, Fax 505/844-1921. Sandia National Laboratories has a need for a 5-Axis positioner for maneuvering a Lens/CCD/Newport Positioner assembly to the streak camera. It must be rugged and of high resolution design. All axis of freedom except the Z-axis (vertical) must have resolutions of less than 3 microns. The motion wander must be less than 5 microns. Vertical positioning must have wander of less than 5 microns and resolution on the order of 50 microns. The Lens/CCD/positioner must be rugged and capable of holding 15lbs and its settings over a long period of time to within 3 microns. Sandia will be issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to those responding to this synopsis. (025)
