consist of off shore debris removal which is considered non-historic
and which may pose navigational dangers or dangers to the Park's
environment or its visitors. Debris consists of various size pilings
made of timbers and concrete, miscellaneous steel and masonry debris,
metal tanks, submerged wooden sailboat, and the dismantling and removal
of a wooden structure which was previously used as an AM radio station.
Removal areas consists of 15 specific sites with water depths no
greater than 14 feet. The debris site locations within the scope of
this project fall entirely within the Biscayne National Park along the
Park's northern boundary, south of Key Biscayne, in the vicinity of
Biscayne Channel. The area has been commonly referenced as
''Stiltsville'' in charts and maps. The Park falls entirely within Dade
County, Florida. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and
$500,000. Completion time is 120 calendar days. Written request only.
