59 -- ELECTRON TUBES SOL DTFA-02-95-R-50028 POC Phyllis Townsley, Contracting Officer, (405) 954-7816 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for an estimated annual quantity of 1,018 each, NSN 5960-01-011-2084, Electron Tubes, Microwave (Negative Grid) to be manufactured in accordance with Bendix Corp., Drawing 4043779, Military Specification Sheet, MIL-E-1/1726A, and FAA-STD-013d, which will be furnished with the bid package. These tubes are required in support of the Air Traffic Control Beacon Indicator (ATCBI-5). First article testing is a requirement but may be waived if contractor has provided tubes in the past. Required delivery of 250 due 120 days after approval of first article testing, 250 each due every 30 days thereafter. FOB Destination, Oklahoma City, OK. Requirements include option provisions to renew for two (2) additional 1-year periods. The proposed contract will incorporate FAR Clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
