66 -- HANDHELD RADIATION DETECTION INSTRUMENTS FOR KAZAKSTAN AND BELARUS SOL DNA001-95-R-0016 POC Jennifer Seaton, Negotiator, (703) 325-9368, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. The primary objective is to provide two hundred (200) handheld radiation detection instruments for the detection of nuclear material to be used at airports and other checkpoints. Out of the two hundred (200) instruments, one hundred (100) will be provided to Belarus and one hundred (100) will be provided to Kazakstan. Commercial items are sought. The contract will require one hundred (100) rechargers (220v/50hz) for the instruments. The contract will include a one-year warranty on parts and service for items delivered. The contract will require an initial spare parts kit to maintain the instruments for a period of one year. Offers predicated on some but not all of the items specified in the RFP will NOT be considered for award.
