Elaine Libman (301) 975-6337 The National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) has a requirement for: #A4977A, Diano Model 2060
X-ray generator with manual controls mounted in a 19'' rack cabinet,
including water to water heat exchanger; #C1648BH, Federal to spring
high voltage cable; CA-8 CU L, Copper target x-ray tube and; cooling
kit for CA-8 tube. The generator and it's associated parts are a
replacement for the generator in NIST's existing Diano x-ray
diffraction instrument. The new generator shall be physically,
electronically, and mechanically compatible with NIST's existing
equipment. The x-ray tube shall be a copper target diffraction tube of
the CA-8 L type with water cooling and shall fit existing NIST G.E.
(Diano) tube holders; both vertical and horizontal.-- Delivery shall be
within 60 days--Numbered Note 22--It is the Government's intent to
negotiate with the Diano Corporation, 30 Commerce Way, Woburn,
Massachusetts, the only responsible source that can satisfy the
